Job Overview: Junior Administrator (Social Department)

This position is based in Rwanda and supports projects that improve livelihoods and social inclusion, particularly in rural communities.

Main Responsibilities

As a Junior Administrator, you will assist in both office and field-based activities. Your work will support projects that empower communities and cooperatives.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting the planning and monitoring of social and income-generating projects
  • Assisting with writing project proposals and reports
  • Helping prepare financial and narrative project reports
  • Participating in capacity-building plans for rural cooperatives
  • Supporting strategic planning for the social department
  • Conducting regular field visits to project sites
  • Assisting with annual planning, evaluations, and reporting
  • Supporting partnerships with local and international organisations
  • Helping coordinate exchange visits between Rwanda and Germany

This role offers practical experience in development work and project coordination.

Required Qualifications and Skills

This job is suitable for early-career professionals who already have some exposure to development or administrative work.

You should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in:

Social Work
Development Studies
Education (inclusive education is an advantage)
Or a related field

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda
